Vehicle Crime Prevention Advice |
||
|
Recently there has been an number of vehicles broken into in the early hours of the morning, which were parked on driveways and on the public road. A tool box was taken from one vehicle, a gym bag from another, and two other vehicles had their door handles tried, but no entry was gained, as per CCTV footage made available to us. Just as reminder to our Northwood residents: The Met Police always advise locking your vehicle, closing windows/sunroofs, and never leaving valuables visible to prevent theft. Secure keys away from doors at home (use Faraday pouches for keyless fobs) to stop burglary for them, and consider extra security like steering locks, immobilizers, and tamper-resistant screws for number plates. Park the best you possibly can in well-lit, secure areas, and remove Satnav mounts to avoid tempting thieves. Thank you.
